PES 2008

Japanese games firm Konami has released details and screenshots of the latest addition of the Pro Evo series - Pro Evo 2008, which is due on PS2 and PS3, Xbox 360 and high-powered PCs this October. Whats new about PES 2008 is the re-worked AI engine or what they call it the 'proprietary adaptive AI system'. To make it simplier it's called Teamvision and here's a bit more info from the release:

"Unique to the Konami game, Teamvision is a sophisticated AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual's style of play. As such, it will learn new ways to build attacks and to counter specific movements and previous attacking or defensive errors, ensuring games are more in line with the tactical but flowing nature of the real thing."

In PES 2008 edition there will be enhanced close-control, with new subtle moves to beat defenders, and better dribbling. You will find that in PES 2008 there will be improves set-piece systems.

Graphically, Konami are promising incredibly realistic facial animation thanks to HD. There will be greater smaller deailts such as will we be able to lip-read what the players are saying to the ref - or what players arewhispering to each other in the game's touchingly goal celebrations.
