About Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers was formed in 1874. Bolton were Football League founder
members in 1888 and the winners of the first ever FA Cup final at Wembley
Staduim in 1923. Further FA Cup victories followed in 1926 and 1929
and Bolton Wanderers were also doing well in the First Division finishing
third in both the 1921 and 1925 seasons. After a quick decline, Bolton
Wanderers were finding themselves playing Fourth Division football in
1987 but a incredicle revival saw them promoted to the Premiership for
one season through the play-offs in 1995. There all stadium,Burnden
Park celebrated its centenary in the same year but a move to the newly
developed Reebok Stadium was in sight. The' impressive new stadium was
soon hosting top division football following the club's Division One
title in 1997 and another promotion in the 2000/01 season. Boltons's
impressive sixth-placed finish in the season 2004/05 secured European
football for Bolton in the UEFA Cup for the very firts time.
