About Arsenal

Arsenal
Arsenal are London's most successful Premier League club.It was originally formed by workers at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich and was known as Dial Square before having the name Royal Arsenal in 1886.It was renamed to Woolwich Arsenal in 1891, where they moved to Highbury in 1913 and later become just Arsenal. Arsenal had to wait until the 1930s for their first bit of success when during this time five Division One championships were won. Two more league trophies were won soon after the Second World War before further trophies arrived with the league and FA Cup Double in 1971. Two league titles, two League Cups, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup came to Arsenal during George Grahams nine-year as manager. Frenchman Arsene Wenger was named Arsenals manager in 1996 and the honours continued. Arsenals first Premiership title made up half of the club's second Double in 1998. Their second Premiership came in 2002 - when they finished the season on a 28-match domestic unbeaten run - was also coupled with lifting thet FA Cup final. Arsene Wenger then took the Gunners to the Champions League final in 2006, unfortunetly beaten by Barcelona.
